Reflection for Writing Project 2

Never in my life would I have thought that I would be writing in a blog and especially turning in my assignments through a blog. But what I have come to realize is that I like blogging and I like the fact that I am able to use all of the resources available to me through the blogging website. For writing project number two, you asked us to find places on campus, plot them on a map and write about them. I have never done anything like this in my life, but I like that I got the opportunity to do so. Being able to use technology to do an assignment is pretty cool and this is why I am signing up for this class next semester.
This assignment required me to choose places and map them. I didn’t even know we had that kind of access to the maps before this class. I learned a lot in this class and in this part of the writing. I had to know how to critique and show a certain depth of evaluation in the places that I chose from the ASU campus. I decided to choose four different gardens on the campus. From the moment you told us that we had to do this I immediately decided that the gardens would be the best choice. When I wrote my draft, I felt like my writing sounded like a hippie advocating flower-power. So when I did my re-write I tried not to sound like that and make it more academic while still maintaining an interesting view.
To be quite honest, I think I did my best, but like always there is always room for improvement and I wish that I could have done a better job. One thing that I didn’t like while I was putting the images that I took of the gardens into my blog, was that they wouldn’t go in the way I placed them and they would move and change the font of my text and it would mess up my blog. That was really annoying during the process. Thankfully I saved all of my writing because I had to delete the blog and start it over so that it would work. I didn’t really like that but for the entire assignment was memorable and useful for future references and assignments.
